A time series data set may have gaps and sometimes we may want to fill in the gaps so the time variable will be in consecutive order. This involves two steps. First of all, we need to expand the data set so the time variable is in the right form. When we expand the data, we will inevitably create missing values for other variables. The second step is to replace the missing values sensibly. The examples shown here use Stata's command tsfill and a user-written command 'carryforward' by David Kantor to perform the two steps described above. You can download the 'carryforward' via 'search carryforward' in Stata (see How can I use the search command to search for programs and get additional help? for more information about using search) and following the appropriate link. What the command carryforward does is to carry values forward from one observation to the next, filling in missing values with the previous value.

Our ears as sensors cannot convert sound intensities and powers, they can only use the sound pressure changes between 20 Hz and 20,000 Hz. Omnigraffle pro 7 10.
Example 1, a simple fill with carryforward
In this example, the starting and end point could be different for different individuals and the gaps are filled in by individuals.
Example 2
Sometimes, we might want to get a completely balanced data. In this case, the starting point will be the same for all the individuals and the end point will be the same for all the individuals as well. To this end, the option 'full' for tsfill is used.
Example 3
In previous example, we see that not all the missing values are replaced since 'carryforward' does not carry backforward. We can replace the missing values by performing one more 'carryforward' in a backward way. Although this is possible to do, it does not mean that it is a good idea to do. This example is merely for the purpose of illustration.

Shame on the age and on its principles! The senate is aware of these things; the consul sees them; and yet this man lives. https://austin-software.medium.com/apple-official-homepage-73a1f051d019. Lives! aye, he comes even into the senate. He takes a part in the public deliberations; he is watching and marking down and checking off for slaughter every individual among us. And we, gallant men that we are, think that we are doing our duty to the republic if we keep out of the way of his frenzied attacks.
You ought, O Catiline, long ago to have been led to execution by command of the consul. Photo size optimizer 1 71. That destruction which you have been long plotting against us ought to have already fallen on your own head. [3]
What? Did not that most illustrious man, Publius Scipio, 1 the Pontifex Maximus, in his capacity of a private citizen, put to death Tiberius Gracchus, though but slightly undermining the constitution? And shall we, who are the consuls, tolerate Catiline, openly desirous to destroy the whole world with fire and slaughter? For I pass over older instances, such as how Caius Servilius Ahala with his own hand slew Spurius Maelius when plotting a revolution in the state. There was—there was once such virtue in this republic, that brave men would repress mischievous citizens with severer chastisement than the most bitter enemy. For we have a resolution 2 of the senate, a formidable and authoritative decree against you, O Catiline; the wisdom of the republic is not at fault, nor the dignity of this senatorial body. We, we alone,—I say it openly, —we, the consuls, are waiting in our duty.
1 This was Scipio Nasica, who called on the consul Mucius Scaevola to do his duty and save the republic; but as he refused to put any one to death without a trial, Scipio called on all the citizens to follow him, and stormed the Capitol, which Gracchus had occupied with his party, and slew many of the partisans of Gracchus, and Gracchus himself.
2 This resolution was couched in the form ; and it exempted the consuls from all obligation to attend to the ordinary forms of law, and invested them with absolute power over the lives of all the citizens who were intriguing against the republic.
